The leadership of HopeNet approached us in early 2006 to help them delineate and articulate who they are as an organization and where they’re going. The organization was entering its 16th year of service. Despite the great work it was doing, there was still confusion among the board and staff about how to communicate that work to a community largely unaware of its new direction. After an initial meeting to learn about HopeNet’s roots, the Creel Institute gave homework to board members to provide a framework and starting point for the retreat. After reviewing and analyzing responses, the Creel facilitation team structured the day around their unique needs and concerns using The Creel ModelSM.
Today, the board and staff are accurately and consistently communicating the HopeNet story, clarifying internal processes and enhancing fundraising strategies based on next steps identified in the retreat.
Perhaps the greatest gift the Creel Institute has given us is a keen ability to listen. The critical act of listening has allowed Creel facilitators to accurately grasp our vision and equip our leaders to execute a precise marketing strategic plan. Sheri Martin, executive director, HopeNet
